It’s day two of the three days, three quotes challenge; I was nominated by Confessions of an Irish Procrasinator, thank you!
The Rulebook:
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
3. Nominate three bloggers each day.
I’m love, love, loving the daily quote challenge. It means I have to think about the lyrics a little more than I would normally. Today I have taken inspiration from Paul Simon’s (of Simon & Garfunkel) song, The Boxer.
For me this song is about pushing forwards through times of anguish and adversity, each knock back building strength to reveal courage that is within:
Taken from The Boxer
In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of ev’ry glove that laid him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
“I am leaving, I am leaving”
But the fighter still remains
Great quote I love the deep music of Simon and Garfiunkel Thank you for the invitation. I will try to take up this challenge. Sounds like fun! ♥️
