I want to ride my Bicycle…

So I entered this short story into February’s Scottish Book Trust 50 Word Competition.  This may seem crude but things aren’t quite what they appear at first.  Alas I didn’t win hence me sharing this with you all now.  Theme was ‘bike ride’.

Like riding a bike, he thought, peeling off his latex glove; another satisfied customer.

The irony wasn’t lost as his next client walked in; back in the day, she was known as the village bicycle.

Bemused, he lined up the mirror and probe.

“Take the couch, Ms Moll.”

“Open wide.”

Of course this is a routine dental appointment! What were you thinking!!!???
