A day late (I know) but wanted to give Christine‘s (Go Dog Go Café) Tuesday Challenge a bash!
Today’s prompt: Found Poem: A Brand New Poem in Three Easy Steps
Grab a paragraph of text from a favorite book make a found poem by breaking a passage in to lines. Edit as desired. This is an opportunity to play with line breaks, rhythm, and sound. Have some fun!
Taken from Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations:
I took her hand,
in mine.
And,
we went out of the ruined place.
And,
as the morning mists had risen long ago;
When I first left the forge,
so,
the evening mists were rising now.
And,
in all,
the broad expanse of tranquil light,
they showed to me;
I saw no shadow,
of another,
parting from her.
Well done! It’s great!
